ONCE UPON A TIME
I had everything one could dream of: a family, a house, a vacation home, a car, financial stability, and friends. I also had a dream job with incredible perks, such as attending exclusive events, hanging out with world-renowned designers, and learning from creative geniuses. As the cherry on top, I had an extensive network with the right connections.
It was great in many ways, but I felt uneasy. And then, one day, it dawned on me. I had everything, but I never enjoyed it.
The job and my other commitments were stealing so much time from everything else I wanted to do. From all those great things I had.
I wanted to spend more time with my family and friends and do more for myself.
At the same time, I knew that a life without a stimulating job wasn’t for me. I love intellectual challenges and nurturing my professional creativity.
What I needed was balance. I needed to create time for more than just obligations in life and ensure I had the energy to make the most of that time.
A NEW CHAPTER
So, I've made a decision. I've had enough. I quit my job.
Quitting was, in my case, necessary.
I experienced a series of burnout symptoms and realized that my job wasn't providing the intellectual and creative stimulation I desired.
Resigning also prompted me to take a moment for reflection and plan my next steps.
Today, the unease I felt three years ago has vanished, thanks to creating the right conditions for combining my drive, ambition, and passion with balance, joy, and well-being.
Talk about enjoyment. In multiple dimensions!
As a balance coach, I assist my clients in achieving the common goal of creating the right conditions for drive and balance to work together.
